Magnolia Ridge is a master-planned community in Magnolia, Texas that is blessed with an abundance of nature's most desirable amenities. Gently rolling terrain provides hollows for shimmering and scenic lakes. The land is bountiful with native foliage, mature trees, and even historic Magnolias. But, best of all, the variety of homes are all affordable. This exciting new 900 Residential Development homes will be built in nine sections at over the next fifteen years.

epic software group was retained to assist in the development of the new web site, by Paul Lazzaro & Associates. Paul Lazzaro is an award winning expert in marketing communications best known for his work with The Woodlands Operating Company, and Marriott Hotels International, provided epic with the content for the site.

epic's challenge was to create a website to showcase Magnolia Ridge, and present comprehensive information on the development, models, floor plans, and amenities. In today's real estate market, more than 90% of prospects search the Internet before shopping for a specific home. Magnolia Ridge's website is designed to ensure that buyers become interested enough to make personal visits to the property

Discuss with the client his vision of the community as it will appear in the near future and when fully developed
Create a web site that highlights the features and benefits of both Magnolia Ridge and the greater Magnolia area.
Build a Content Management section of the site that allows the builder to quickly and easily add new homes as they become available.
Take the 2D land plat showing the layout of the community and trace it into Google's Sketchup, a free, yet very powerful 3D development tool.
Use a combination of 3D elements from the Google 3D Warehouse, and custom 3D models created by epic to build out the virtual city.
Allow the client to move through the community to insure it meets his vision.

Under the direction of Paul Lazzaro, epic developed a web site that promotes the concept of Country Charms and City Comforts.

Host the web site and provide ongoing technical and creative support.
Using Google Sketchup, epic was able to produce a rendering of the community for thousands of dollars less than using traditional 3D animation tools.
The final version of the 3D community will be added to Google Earth where anyone who visits this area of the world can move through the model to get a better understanding of the community.

epic software is a one-stop shopping, high-tech oasis for marketing practitioners. Through the years, I have found the talented crew here to be capable of producing everything from a clever cartoon character to a complex website that includes flyovers, build-outs, and video presentations within a presentation. Their work for a multitude of my projects includes the initial DVD and show introducing The Woodlands Waterway as well as an interactive political campaign website. Currently they created the website for Magnolia Ridge, a new master-planned community featuring "Country Charm" and "City Comforts," with a warmth that truly reflects the ambiance of the development and the City of Magnolia, Texas.
