Interactive Training also known as e-Learning, is being used by colleges and universities around the world to teach everything from basic math to most complex subjects imaginable.  Call it what you like, companies are also embracing these technologies to train their employees and keep costs down.  Distance Learning is designed to improve a student's performance, and allow for easy access to course materials and lectures 24/7.

What makes our lessons different from the others are the high quality still and motion graphics, sound and music elements we add to make the information both educational AND entertaining. We don't do "Talking Heads" (teachers talking in a monotone in front of a whiteboard), but instead may develop an interactive game, dramatic animation, or a special effects video to get the message across. We recently began creating screencasting where the instructor can show his or her ideas and flow of thoughts rather than simply explain them. The combination of video and audio allows the expert to deliver clear, complete instructions. From the learners point of view this provides the ability to pause and rewind and gives the learner the advantage to move at their own pace, something a classroom cannot always offer.

Uretek - Uri Demonstrate Pothole Repair Technology

Uretek - Uri Demonstrate Pothole Repair Technology
Uretek needed an effective way to demonstrate their urethane pot-hole and ground stabilization foam technology. Epic created a new company mascot "Uri" who takes the viewer through a series of field applications showing their product in use. Some of the field applicators who install the foam may not use English as their primary language, so an animated cartoon communicates the key features and benefits so all can understand just how it works.

Polyfoam Tank Swap

Polyfoam Tank Swap
Swapping urethane chemical product tanks on a construction site may sound easy, but like most things there is a right and wrong way to do it. The right way insures a quick and safe exchange, which doing it the wrong way can result in injury, delays, and cost overruns. In this animation sequence demonstrate the correct way to replace a tank in service.

Polyfoam Products Gun Cleaning Demo

Polyfoam Products Gun Cleaning Demo
Polyfoam Products, Inc. is a recognized leader in polyurethane foam technology. To demonstrate the proper way to clean one of their dispensing guns, we created a 3D model of the gun and all the component parts. As you watch the animation, you can see the step-by-step procedure to disassemble, clean and reassemble their gun. For their customers (roofing contractors) keeping the gun clean results in a better finished project at a lower cost, and greatly reduced maintenance and repair follow-up.

Inspire 3D

Inspire 3D
3D Software programs are serious applications, and often times require a serious learning curve before you can be production in even the basic tasks. NewTek introduced Inspire 3D, a software program aimed squarely at print designers, 2D artists, and other creative people who were afraid or intimidated by the complexity of 3D software. Newtek asked epic to create for them a training CD designed to help a 3D newbie learn the basics quickly using interactive multimedia. This is the introduction to that training CD, which also introduced the famous Inspire 3D running man logo.

Baseball and Softball Umpire Signals

Baseball and Softball Umpire Signals
For years, baseball and softball umpires used printed manuals to learn the proper methods for signals. This was difficult since the umpire could not get a good understanding of the timing for the signal. Epic worked with the NCAA to create two interactive signal charts for these sports. Just click on the Umpire icon to test your knowledge - PLAY BALL!
