My Epic Internship

August 10, 2011 – I found epic while job searching last summer and have been in touch with Vic (the Owner) off and on ever since. I was still in school when I applied so he suggested an internship when it came closer to my graduation. This summer came around and I am one semester from graduating, a great time for an internship.

My Internship started very smooth. Vic and the others here always made me feel at home and the environment and work ethic are second to none. They were patient with me and showed me many ways to improve on my designs and work flow. From adding an effect, to something as small as revealing a hot key that I didn’t know about, the people here always found a way to make my work, and me as a designer, better.

The work that was given to me here at Epic was always productive. I felt like everything I worked on mattered and all of the skills I learned I would use again. I worked on interesting projects, went on a photo shoot, and worked with programs I never had the chance to experience before. They even took the time to show me how to edit video, which was something I had always wanted to do but never had the chance to do in the past. I enjoyed this, and now I will most likely take some video editing classes in the fall.

I would suggest to anyone that needs an Internship in a design field to apply at Epic. The people are great and the experience is priceless.

This internship has been a great experience. I learned a great deal, and made some good friends. I want to thank Vic and Epic for this wonderful opportunity.
